Interhealth: Intercultural competences of healthcare professionals
Description
This course is a creation of the international team within European project with the same title, developed under Erasmus program. The project develops training methods in order to alter the ability of healthcare workers to demonstrate cultural competence toward patients with diverse values beliefs and behaviors. - InterHealth Curriculum based on the following four themes: 1. Interreligious competences, 2. Intercultural communication and counselling, 3. Self-awareness for professional health-carer, 4. Managemen tin healthcare settings. - InterHealth Mobile Application which can be used by healthcare professionals to: a) understand the challenges related to the different dimensions of intercultural healthcare settings; b) recognize the prevalence of a certain cultural model within patients’ groups; c) familiarize with patients’ illness beliefs; d) provide insights for cultural based interventions.
