Each One Teach One
Description
Each One Teach One (EOTO) is a technique for sharing knowledge, which can be applied in various contexts. It is particularly valuable in a culturally diverse classroom because it allows you to cover a lot of information while at the same time supporting good relationships between participants. For example, if you want participants from different cultures to learn about different cultures, values, communication styles etc., you can use the EOTO technique. Create small groups and divide the information evenly. Each group receives some part of the overall information, gets some time to study it and to prepare teaching it to others. Participants then split up and can freely move around to teach others, and to learn from them. You can design the details as you see fit. But the key advantage of EOTO is that everyone is actively involved in gathering and sharing knowledge, which builds constructive and positive attitudes both towards the material and towards each other.
